Hmm, after thinking some more I would go with number one. I have a back very similar who is just coming into his own. He has two break tackle pieces though.

This is where he is at level 51

Physical Attributes
Strength: 86.15 (+7)
Speed: 105.15 (+27)
Agility: 61.15
Jumping: 26.23
Stamina: 44.23
Vision: 40.15
Confidence: 42.15

Football Skills
Blocking: 19.23 (+2)
Catching: 20.23
Tackling: 8
Throwing: 17.23
Carrying: 64.15
Kicking: 8
Punting: 8

Plus power back SA's.

My guy is already further along then #3

If you're talking about Marshall Faulk Jr, that guy is a machine. I remember seeing his build a few seasons ago (and many levels ago) when he was FA. He already had 80 speed and 80 Agility (both base) and 100 Strength (though this had up to lv 48 EQ in it) from memory. No idea how much it has changed since then, but that was one beastly build.

As for your HB w_alloy, I like #5 but I don't like Tenacious (not that my opinion really matters ). Quick Feet with it's +30% for Spin Firing is pretty damn effective (plus the headfaking and juking bonuses even though your guy doesn't have a lot invested there). You don't need a lot of agility for Spin to fire in my experience so I don't think you're missing out much with only 72.8 agility.

Yes, you win

I definitely made some technical slow building mistakes with him, like I mentioned earlier, that were pretty costly as far as overall potential goes. So I know there are probably some better HBs out there. That being said, don't forget that mine has 19sp unspent and all the majors trained to 97%+ right now which is worth a few levels.

I'm leaning towards #5 right now. But I don't have to choose between 4 and 5 or something similar for a while. The real decision that prompted this thread is whether to take agi car or str to another cap before I started on the secondaries and SAs. And I've become convinced the answer to that is no.

Thanks for all the help

I have a couple of the majors trained up and no SPs held atm (but I have you by quite a bit in agility so that makes up for it)
My guy isnt perfect either though
