One more season of boost/training and the plateau season still to go (i.e. 2 seasons until the decline).

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=791447

Made a few mistakes (shopping too much, didn't equip stamina early on) but he is shaping up ok.

Just wondering if there is anything glaringly that needs to be done with next season's x3 boost, or is it just a case of agilty/agility/agility now?

Unlike blocking FBs the SAs for blocking TEs are not very interesting. Are they a bit low? Confidence too?

Cheers,

Si

Agility - Run Block SA and Get Low SA.

Speed & Agility are way low. I have more agility on my Center. Shouldn't the TE be able to lead block for the HB?

This is a good point and something I don't really understand about alot of blocking TEs. On the spectrum of agility and speed, it seems a blocking TE should be slower and slightly less agile than a fullback, but faster and more agile than a Left Tackle. I don't know why blocking TEs need 100+ blocking...

all into agility. other tips: lose the First Step, move all EQ into strength (but keep the % Hold Block piece), and get 15 VP into Outside Blocker with the next VA reset.

Scrap pass blocker and move 10 from downfield blocker to get outside blocker to 15.

And another vote for more agility. And like JDR said, as much EQ in strength as you can.

Thanks for the advice:

- I had guessed that agility was pretty low. Will pump the triple-boost and training into it. Unequipped 70 would be the target.

- SA are still low enough to be pretty cheap. Will top all (except pancake) up by one with next season's XP level-ups. Blocking TE SAs are pretty boring though.

- First step AEQ does suck, but even though I have only 96 BT saved or invested in pieces (i.e. he's been shopping loads), that is the second-best I've managed to find. New shopping system might help me get something better at last.

- Will scrap Pass Blocker and just start on adding the remaining 10 VP Outside Blocker from now on

Maybe he's built too much like an OT. I like high blocking/strength though. Next time will probably not bother with the last few points in those stats (give up training at strength/blocking=80 and not =84) and that should make the TE quite a bit quicker.

This is my next one in development:

Soft-capped Agility before Vision which was probably inefficient (vision gets bigger levelling bonusses I believe), but he hit unequipped 82-83 in strength and blocking earlier than the guy in the OP. Agility and Vision all the way with this guy for the next maybe 60 days.

You bag on the blocking SAs, yet you still insist on adding more?

The only SAs for mine are coming from AEQ and I doubt I'm ever going to add any.

Still more blocking than is necessary, really.

Why not train your skills that are so low instead of agi/vis?

Development Guy:

Well the conf/stamina/speed will stay low and I'll get the chance to train quickly, store SP and soft-cap them later-on I guess?

Whereas Vision gets levelling bonuses which mean it's maybe worth going all-out on vision for a while? Although I admit I gave up saving SP for the caps after the 1st one. Just adding as I go until I get around to starting on stamina/speed/conf. Guess he'll suck for longer, due to being speed-gimped, but I tend to ignore my younger players from a performance point of view until way late on.

I can't be bothered to take the maths too far on GLB sometimes tbh.

Main guy:

Anyway, I updated the equip of him (after getting a Foundation/Agility piece), and he's now more 'in-line' and vanilla (str/block the same and agility in the 70's). Don't like putting equip in lower attributes, but it'll be better when the agility SP buff comes in. Plus there's a lot of extra points available in normal equip that I won't have the money for until season tickets are sold.

With strength 100, blocking 95, agility 77 by Day 1 of next season he should be looking ok then I guess? Especially with reasonable base Vision.

Cheers,

Si

TEs are going to be run blocking most of the time, so why take a foundation piece?

Except for the Hold Block % piece ages ago, it's the first blocking-related piece he's ever had come up in the shop. Plus it was agility, which was what I wanted to convert a lot of equip to anyway.

If a relavant Get Low comes up, I'm there. Until then, it's better than First Step...
