I'm new to GLB and looking to make Possession WR. This is my guy right now -- http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1839727

I really have no idea what I'm doing, but I'm a big Wayne Cherbet fan and would love to kind of make a WR like him.

What do I put up first? are my stats fine where they are? Do I focus on Catching entirely and Agility or ?

-60 speed is as low as you want to go, 50 works but leads to a few reception issues.
-High agility is very important to getting targeted, 80+ would be a basic target but close to 100 would be ideal
-Jumping is of more value than vision, both should hit 50 by about lvl 45 but jumping should probably be taken up to 60 by end build.
-Carrying and Strength should be minimum of 50 by lvl 55, more strength will be useful if you want to really break a lot of tackles.
-Catching really only needs to be up to 70 for a top quality build, 80 is a preference call, is maybe worth about 3-5% in terms of catch %age
-AEQ of value includes %to catch, %break tackle, power thru, etc....
-Possession tree SAs offer a small improvement to catching radius, but don't really help in terms of their primary purpose, consider them a preference thing
-VAs wise your looking at Possession Receiver, and Mr. Reliable as your primary VAs, after that is a preference call
-Having an OC who understands how to use a possession WR is incredibly important, otherwise your a waste of space.

That should help you out a little.

TtD -

Do your number recommendations refer to Natural + Equipment Points? I was considering the best way to move my WR in this direction and get Agility to 80+. Would you go with a 68 Cap on Agility + 12-16 points from Equipment?

Personal taste is to cap agility first to 74 starting out such a build, then throw about 15-20 points of EQ towards it. It tends to naturally gain quite quickly if you go that way and gives a solid start. Also helps if your after stats as a super agile receiver will catch a solid amount at peewee compared to starting with speed to cap.

wrong carry breaks more tackles than str...you want carry if you want to break tackles and avoid knocked loose. STR is for fighting off defenders when trying for a catch in traffic. bort has confirmed this many times.

It's not true. Strength surely plays a toll on breaking tackles.
