what do i need to work on?

should start over and cap Speed to 68 then Agility to 68. IF you want to salvage, which i suggest against, you can get speed to 68 cap.

you think its best to just retire and start over? can you explan why thats a better choice?

I say speed to 60 or 68 vision is also important

You're not optimal but you're salvageable. Do you have any SPs saved? Looks like you might based on your attributes.

For now, get speed to 68 ASAP and train agility&vision on intense.

The reason why, is that if you want him to be competitive you have 2 options. Fast Build Speed, then Agility, then Vision (Coverage VS Hard Hitter) OR you can slow build those attributes in that order and not see Good/Great performance for about 3 seasons.
