that last few college events i've been to haven't served beer at all either, including football games. It makes sense that they don't serve beer at college events, but at the same time it's kinda surprising. I wonder if this is per all colleges or just at the most outta hand ones.

If the team is not very good then if you want fans to come out you have to make the experience entertaining
and a lot of the suggestions made will help in that.
Basically, figure out how to make home games more entertaining as well as promote team/ university pride.
Perhaps do a pre game screening of Baseketball or Semi- Pro in keeping with a basketball theme if not some other
sports type movie like Sandlers Water Boy or Happy Gilmore.
If you can get them in prior to game then better chance they will stay for the game

during the tv breaks on stuff, just having the annoucer call out a seat number to win a shirt seems to be enough at most places

How interested do you think people would be to like going and watching an NBA game on TV with the coach and basketball team? I am thinking that a student who feels closer to the coach and the guys would be more likely to go watch them play.
Coach Kellogg already talked to us yesterday saying he would be happy to host parties and cookouts at his house if this gets up to speed.

That sounds like a good idea.
About the raffles.... Have multiple discounts at the book store ranging from 50% off down to 10% and have a bunch of them. The stuff in the bookstores are usually too expensive, but students secretly covet those $200 diploma frames and such.
