Well i have heard before that blocking actually helps people break blocks. Is there anychance i can be correct on this. I am sure its not a huge thing, but if its anything i bet even in just the 30s from training it would be better than the standard teens

It was a sad mistake for many DE's to train and pump Blocking. It has no real effect for breaking blocks or better said it isn't noticeable, especially considering it auto levels, and I believe everything you gain from the auto level is more than adequate.

I would bother training it until all your important stuff is taken care off, Stam/Vision/Con are all well past cap and Jumping is into high 30s.

I'm ignoring advice form older wiser agents who have gone before me and making a STR/Blocking build in the hopes of opening up holes for other players to get sacks and wreak havoc on the line. We'll see if this works at all, I plan on getting it to the second cap after I 3rd cap STR, Speed isn't so important to me, might double cap it at most just to see how well this guy does.

Hoping to stack this with % break block AEQ once he gets in 20's and also to pump confidence up, will be an interesting build, might suck and be a complete waste of time, or might be mediocre, or might be awesome, but definitely won't be a stat whore for a long time if at all.

if you're going to even try a "blocking build", it still must come after strength and agility are set. what you're basically doing MileHigh is setting yourself up for failure and we still won't even know if blocking works or not because the gaping hole in your build that is agility will make it fail regardless

I'd rather go jumping over blocking....if you are desperate for something to train...

He will be pretty good playing both ways on Special Teams, but he will be so horrible on defense that you will want to cut out your eyes every time you watch a sim.

But by all means, carry on

Well he's not my only player... so if he sucks something fierce I can just look away and watch my... I don't know FB I guess, none of my builds are rounded out yet, so none of them are achieving the things I want them to as of yet. I have more fun trying new things and challenging the norms here on GLB then I do watching stats inflate because I'm good at "following directions." These forums rock because there is so much advice and wisdom to be found... but they also suck because there is so much advice and wisdom to be found. Kind of takes the fun out of finding out for yourself and doing something totally unique. Plus Bort's recent change to the blocking interactions between O-Line and D-Line may make blocking more viable... that's what I'm banking on anyways... lol
