Just created my first player and luckily I came across a post saying not to use skill points right away, so my question is what do I do next? Do I train him or what? I need help and a pointer in the right direction.

Train the two attributes that you see as being the most important to your WR, on Intense, first. If you can't find an intense combination that has both of them, go with an intense training that has the one attribute that you see as being the most important, and another relevant attribute.

Continue training until your most important attribute plus however many skill points you have is equal to or greater than 48.07, then dump all of your skill points into that attribute. This is a process that we at GLB like to call cap building, and it is, and barring any major changes, will always be, the most efficient way to build your player(s).
