This was posted in the bugs forum and promptly locked with a "needs moar" post attached, so I figured maybe you guys could help.

I was watching replays and something didn't look right with how my guy responded on some running plays. Take a look at these:

These are just from one game, but it's been happening consistently throughout the season.

He attacks the ball right up until the handoff tick, then paths to the blocking FB and follows him without regard to where the HB goes with the ball.

Any ideas? (Vision is 57, tactics set to pass focus)

Looks like a vision issue to me, but that is common problem for a player of your level.

That's what I don't get.

You need 68 vision in this game to see a handoff and continue to run in the same direction toward the ball even though you have a clear line of sight?

The other defenders on my team of same level, similar vision can see the handoff through the LOS scrum while my guy who has a clear line cant?

Failing a vision check makes you track toward a fullback or randomly run into the LOS instead of continuing to run in the same direction you were going (ie. toward the QB/ball), or just staying put and waiting for the HB who is running toward you?

It looks like he's having a tough time finding the proper angle to go after the ball carrier and not adjusting to put himself in a better position to make the tackle. There are a number of causes and low vision is the prime factor. He'll grow out of it if you stay patient.

yah, I'd agree. Trying to get to the intercept point which just happens to be where the FB is going. More vision (definitely) and maybe agility will help. Agility to help increase the turn rate so he might be able to switch his approach to avoid the blocker.

I'd say plays 1 and 6 is a combination of the defensive play call and vision. The rest look like vision/agility problem. Agility for a LB (any LB) at level 31 should be a minumum 60, but a lot better to have 3rd capped.

Agility is at the 5:1 cap, 78 with equip
