I've suffered through these "kind of seasons" before with teams I coordinate for, and they're harder to manage than the work it takes to win because you're still putting in the work it takes to win plus the work it takes to overcome the morale spiral and agent/player frustration. Your income looks like shit (and will continue to look like shit into the next season), so you've got to better plan EQ, and I can go on and on.
I really, really want to blame our early season matchups because we faced the four teams that managed to come through the offseason with nearly complete chem (excluding Winnipeg) while we were in the low 80's. Those hard losses have now hit the player morale, so it's like having low chem even though we really don't. And we all know what chem can do to your turnover ratio. Ouch!
I say I want to say that, but I can't in good conscious do that because I don't want to sound like a whiney bitch and act like those teams wouldn't have whooped our asses anyway. They probably would have. In all honesty, the Rebellion began to fray from within over the offseason - and that's my fault.
My promise to CPL is that I'm gonna screw up someones Play Off ceding. I guarantee that. I'm gonna kick Northern's ass. Why? Just because. I owe it to them
Some team left on our schedule - maybe two - is really gonna want a piece of us come S13 because of what we did to them in S12.
You can put that in your pipe and smoke it. Then pass it back and let me have some, too
This guy played the chemistry card and then lied to us.
Lynch him.
