So wht is the deal on blocking? does it help or not. Also I have my level 16 DT at a takling of 52. He has only ever missed one takle do I have that way too high?

It may be too high, but I think you could go to power tackling to cause more fumbles

I did that my last game with my guy who has tackling at 48 and he missed 2 tackles. Looks like it's still a risk even at that level.

It may be that your str is too low. I have relativly low tackling and high str and my guys very rarely miss tackles.

What y'all think? My stats suck because I'm always being blocked by higher level players, oftent times 2-4 levels higher. Really hoping they add that bonus to playing above your level soon. The 1-2-1-2 in Pass Rush is from when I was the teams DT.

I may not be strong, but I can do stuff like this:

Not knocking you, but you beat a Center that was five levels lower then you and a RG (who is a center out of position) that is seven levels lower then you on that play. I would expect most would look good in this situation.

My strength is pretty high, in the 60's and even with takling on force fumbles I have only missed 2 tackles. but I am guessing that I shouldn't be training or wasting skill points on it now. When sould I start putting in more SA's?

In our last game Awesomus had 65 Strength. And he got Pancaked.

Think the main reason I'm not noticing much increase in my game since getting better is just that I'm getting triple and quadruple teamed all the time. It kinda sucks because nobody on my d-line can get off their blocks. So I'm just being ganged up on every game. 70+ Strength, 40 stamina. And I'm finishing games at 75 energy. Just need some help :'(

Eh, its also my speed. Wish break through actually let you "break through" instead of do a jiggle. We need defensive pancakes. Call it "bull rush" or something.

Maybe its more my vision. I definitely have the ability to break blocks, maybe I just cant see/decide where to go before the lineman recovers?

Hmm, I'm at a loss. Though it was only my first game after boosting and getting agility to 49. I'll see how I finish out the regular season before I really know what I need to start throwing SP at.

I just made a DT a night or two ago and I am gonna try to make him in to a pass rushing DT. I'm gonna soft cap strength by lvl 3 (I rolled about 100 times, probably an hour or two until I got a good roll with 19 strength, 15 agility and 14 tackling. Here is his build that has no SP added (not even the initial 15), just equipment and custom equipment:

'Mean' Joe Greene
6'2" 331lbs
Strength: 29.8 Blocking: 10
Speed: 10 Tackling: 14
Agility: 15 Throwing: 8
Jumping: 9 Catching: 8
Stamina: 10 Carrying: 8
Vision: 10 Kicking: 9
Confidence: 10 Punting: 9

Someone in another thread gave me an idea of what to do. I'm gonna train strength to 23 naturally (33 with equipment) and then get it to soft cap with the initial 15 and 10 from leveling up twice, giving me a total of 58 strength at level 3. I'll train stamina until I get +6 or +7 and then through level 8, keep adding 4 into agility and 1 into stamina. It'll look something like this:

Strength: 65.36
Agility: 40.96
Stamina: 21.91
Tackling: 20.96

(Courtesy of DaveTN for doing the math behind it and giving me the idea)
