Well he seeems to of been near the top of the averages every season in various teams often outlevelled so I guess thats a lot of fortunate circumstances.

In his first season in the pee-wees, the team owner benched him in favour of a standardly built punter who put alll his points into punting. Guess who had the better average?

The only point to him was to try and see how much impact strength would have to help decide how high to take my slow built kicker (I did a similar experiment with a kicker but that didn't work as well),

You're not the only agent who touts strength, I've just seen very few builds where it works. Like I said, please keep us up to date. I'm always interested in things like this.

BTW, sent you an invite to the Strong Leg Pub, stop by and check it out.

accepted invite, his build is open as well so anyone can follow him if they want to.

Strength and BB, most importent for EZ kicks IMO.

That's interesting.

My experimental Punter which is primarily Strength based (92 strength, 62 punting) has the second highest punting average in his conference despite being partiallly under-levelled (signed as about L17 in a L24 cap , currently L20 with all the other top punters around l25).

Mikemike, your punter has 36.6 avg whereas mine has 32.2....Your punter has 92 strength whereas mine has 16..........So 74 points into strength result in 4.4 extra yards on avg....I believe that pretty much defines overrated. I'm just pointing out numbers.

Another way of looking at it:

Your Punter is 4 levels higher
Your Punter is probably slow built or at least cap built
Your punter has custom equipment
Your punter has benefitted from natural gains which suit his build
Your punter has higher SAs particularly Big Boot
Your punter has higher everything in fact other than strength

My guy punts further.

Now distance isn't everything and if I was creating a 'proper punter' I'd probably still go Punting first for the natural gains but it looks to me like in the long-run, strength is by far and away the most important attribute for a punter.

Unless the recent nerf haas changed it all natch,

As far as the OP goes, my kicker last season was in the 38-41 leveling range and kicking 70-81 yard kickoffs fairly frequently.

Kicking / strength were primary for me, 110+ kicking, 70+ strength, then confidence 70+, 60+ vision, and 50+ agi all after gear, 6 points in big boot and 15 in booming kick and 5 in clutch VA's so far.

It's definitely not as impressive as most people would like build wise, he isn't even gold bar yet, but his performance for me so far has been fairly good despite that.
