In the Gold League, you absolutely have to concentrate on building your player for NOW. You are making a one season wonder....not a slow build player that you want to keep around for many seasons. However, at the Silver and Copper levels, you can get away with slow building a player. You can concentrate on getting your primary attribute to the 3rd cap, and they will still be competitive.

I think the boosting comment is that in the Gold league, you boost a player that doesn't have a long term build....just to win for ONE season. It is really just throwing flex away to try for an advantage to win.

Thanks for the clarification. I understand his point of view. Gold is defintiely a league where you have to build players for just the one season to be really competitive. I don't necessarily see it as a negative thing as he does, but I do understand.

Time value - you only have the player for 1 season and lose 30% of what ever you put in (you don't really get the chance to see him progress, do anything much stat wise [none of the agents in gold are here for stats [2yds a carry wooohooo], or have the enjoyment of a long and fruitful career).

I can tell you I don't feel as bad burning flex boosting long term players as I do these one and done peewee players.

Yeah, but in peewee you boost 3 times, how many times do you boost a player you keep? lvl 13 cap team you join, you boost at end if in playoffs, then you get promoted and boost sometimes before the season begins.

In peewee you still have a shot at winning without everyone boosted unlike at a lot of upper lvls.

i just want to say, i boost.... but not peewee.

thunder got it spot on... it is time to value ratio. you get one season for your three boosts in peewee gold. you get a whole load more bang for your flex building long term.

the wolverines is set up to promote good building practices and have players leave us after three seasons to be competitive for the rest of their careers. the fact that we pulled off a few miracles here and there and have good playoff runs like the one that got us into peewee gold(what a mistake that was) is a bonus. we tend to have fun whilst doing it, and this season just hasnt fitted the masterplan and has been as much fun as being shot and probably not as exciting as being shot at . saying that, we won today had this been silver or copper we were in we would of picked up enough wins to make the playoffs(i am convinced of this... i dont doubt it ) and would be wondering and planning to see if we could pull off another miracle or two in the playoffs. as it stands all we have to look forward to now is next season.

Yeah dtwon, you did get shafted by a legitimate problem which should have been fixed, but the way you go about things will not get it resolved any faster.

Its just what it is Dtown. Our team has been in the same boat all season. Started with piss poor chemistry that was never reset. Last season we dipped to around the 40's I think but figured WTH it gets reset before season starts but boy was I wrong. What can you do? Not much at all really. Also the same thing with moral. Maybe because we are 7-7 it doesnt get higher but yeah we are stuck in the low 90s as well. In this game (being on both sides of the fence) the rich does get richer, the poor stays poor...lol I can live with all that. What I can't live with is knowing that throwing the ball 5 yards downfield will result in either a sack or a pass that you have no Idea who it's intended for without reading the text. My money has always been passing the ball. I would throw the ball for downs 1-3 knowing I could complete 1 for 8 yards and setting up a 4th and 2 which is managable with the ground game. This season that's out the window. They are making strides on improving that and we'll have to wait and see. If it doesn't get improved, al you can do is sit on your flex until something does improve, thats all you can really do.

Yeah I do @ times. I let it get to me and frustrate the hell out of me. When I tried for a resolution Oct 12 the proper way. I just wanted the matter reviewed for starters. 1 month later same thing.

Thinking to let someone else run the team for a season or 2 and take a step back see if I can enjoy this again in time. Just do the up keep on the players created,
