how long should you slow build a player?

since no one answered. depends on what your plans are for a player?
if you want to have impact in a cap 13 league and for several seasons after, but not make it up to a pro league lvl, I would slowbuild ( not getting as much XP as possible) for at least 2 seasons, maybe 3 if you can find a team to sit on and not get XP for that long.
and of course not boost during that time and just train up.
but if you want a more long term player I would build on day 33.
dont boost the first season and dont boost till the end of second season and boost each season thereafter and you should be able to make it pretty high up lvl-wise before decline starts and still have a good slowbuild.

I have some mid 50s that I am still slow building. Slow building is a way of life, and it doesn't end.
