from what i understand, the change re: zone specialist is that it no longer "stacks" with ballhawk VA

if that is the only change, is zone specialist still a good VA for linebackers, no matter the field position played?

It is still a good VA, in theory.

However, you need a DC who plans on using you extensively in zones. Talk to him, not us.

There are a lot better VA's for LBs than Zone Specialist.

If your team keeps you in zone coverage most plays, it's a good one to have. Talk to your DC about it.

Awesome when you play zone a lot, seriously it's excellent. There's a reason they made it worse.

At one point, they were going to get rid of it entirely for LBs only. And that's not because it sucks on LBs.
