I've been looking through about 4 different threads, and making a mental thread in my mind of all questions and answers and finds and which comes up most, as usual for most positions SV comes up, and the odd first step.

I'm at a stage where I'd like to see the benefits of AEQ with my CB and my SS now, but obv my CB in here.
So all suggestions welcome, I'm currently refreshed on a +1 Tackling +1 First Step piece, would any of you fancy this if it was yourselves or would you be confident in hope that you will find something better and soon?

If only it filtered out all the pointless ones for punters, and just had main Defensive/CB ones, can dream eh.
Any suggestions would be appreciated though, as its my first time CB.

The best combination you could get would be a SDC piece with some other modifier and a +5% to PD chance piece with some other modifier. If you could get +5% PD/SDC and +5% PD/Swat ball, that would be the absolute (but impossible to actually get) combination. +42% to PD chance/16 SB/16 SDC = no passes given up ever.

is getting 16 SB and 16 SDC worth the investment considering the diminishing returns on SA's over ten?

Diminishing returns aren't as bad as a lot of people think. That, and diminishing returns might not even apply to SAs that give flat bonuses. The whole point of diminishing returns was to prevent "chance to fire" SAs like Juke from auto-firing. Since that's the case, the whole purpose of diminishing returns doesn't apply to flat bonus SAs, so Bort not might of made them apply. Even if they do, I've had enough experience with players having 12+ SAs to know that diminishing returns don't diminish the value too much.

Long Horn gave a good answer but to elaborate on that, the best receivers have 12+ in First Step so the more SDC, the better.

Nope . . . doesn't activate until the WR catches the ball . . . in which case you've usually already failed.

Been a great help, will be on the look out for SDC & SBs including 5%s that you mentioned or perhaps a little bit less.

I had 18 refreshes, I now have 9 and have not found anything, I'm level 30 so I guess I'll wait a bit more and see what happens down the line, should get better pieces.

Been a good help though, after reading it it does make clear sense

I found a +2 speed and 5% deflect ball chance...is this good?

The other piece so far I could buy is a +1 Superior Vision.

+2 Speed, +5 % Deflect Ball Chance is very good for a CB.

I've got two pieces so far: +2 Vision/+1 Swat Ball, and +2 Speed/+1 Change Direction. Any good?
