I know what it does and how good it is...However anyone bother to use it on a DT ? I rolled a piece of aura...And I'm thinking it might be good, since the DT is in the middle of all the action..Could help people blitzing, the rest of the dline beat their man...Since it "intimidates" anyone within a certain radius.

I think it could be effective if you were to acquire another AOI piece. I am from the school of thought that if you don't have an SA pumped to 8+, that it is not that effective.

Minimal research to back this up, I could be totally wrong.

I am too..Just wondering how good it would be for a DT.

AoI really needs to be 8+ to be effective, if you had a run stuffing DT with 8 in it, it could be pretty useful in tackling powerbacks that run straight ahead.

Since its a morale drop, it seems to help events that have rolls. like tackling, catching, etc.
So it should help tackle the powerbacks, and slightly increase the chance they fumble.

I think its easier and just as useful on a LB that is a run stopper though, DTs have other things to worry about.

Well...I'm using token boosting...Only thing you need for a good DT is shed block + heavyweight....But I'm thinking maybe even at +4...Aura might help the up the gut runs..Even if my guy doesn't make a tackle might make it easier for some one else to tackle beings it effects everyone in that area.

I am more and more convince any SA needs to be 8+ to begin to see any tangible results.

Has anyone considered if the morale penalty from the Aura of Int affects the OL or QB (if you are lined up over the center for example)? And would the morale penalty help you break blocks if it did affect the OL?

One of my DTs has an Aura piece (the one in APL). He's rather meh.

I have a DE with 5 points of "aura of intimidation" and its hard to tell if there is any difference. He doesn't get many sacks or tackles so for me personally there is no impact.

There are some DEs who get plenty of sacks so maybe my build is just useless.

is it actually known if it just makes tackling easier or if it also reduces overall performance of all players in the radius (blocking, passing, catching, etc.)? and how big that radius might be?

or is everyone just guessing?
