For a CB, obviously you would want an Int. Chance over a Catch Chance... But what exactly is the difference in the two, and does Catch Chance really matter much for a CB?

So in the process of events that transpires in a pass, does it go something like this:

Ball is thrown
CB sees ball and moves in (Agility, Speed, Vision, etc)
(Lets say we are in a vastly superior position to the WR, so the WR stats don't play in as much)
CB has chance rolls between Deflect and Int and miss (Deflect Chance Vs Int Chance Vs Miss chance)
If Deflect, end
If Miss, end
If Int, roll for whether or not its caught or deflected (Catch Chance)

Is that the correct series of events?

bort posted that the int chance comes first, followed by deflection chance. series is as follows (to my understanding):

int chance
if not int, deflection chance,
if not def,
miss, end

+catch chance probably just gives a bonus to INT chance

+ % catch ball change = + % int chance.

Not that I don't believe you, but would you happen to remember where you saw this? Because I have one player with + int chance AND +catch chance. (Totaling ~30% chance)

Much appreciated!

I don't have the link either, but it's true.

That is a 30% chance increase to the % chance your player currently has based on his attributes and SA's. So if he currently has a 10% chance, he now has a 13% not a 40%

EDIT: I'm confused

The bonus is figured as a % of your base chance to do something, like this:

Example base catch chance: 10%
Bonus = 30% of 10%, which is 3% (rounded)
Total catch chance = base + bonus = 13%

but in the long run, it'd be a 30% increase in Int production.

which, given the number of INTs most CBs are able to get, only amounts to a handful. not worth it imo.
