ESL TO HIGH

Good job, flounder.

Since our first season, we've always been WAY under leveled but would, nevertheless, have success. Unfortunately, Pros is where the rubber meets the road and you can't hide behind a few exploits and a clever game plan. We've found that out the hard way. We're just waiting for all the old farts to retire so we can, for once, be the high leveled team.

Warlords and Winona are both top 4 teams.

CMM has been one of my favorite teams ever since their debut... they came in, didnt say much then they handed ESL, the defending champs, their asses. They definitly turned some heads and established themselves as a team not to be taken lightly

+1

and good write up

unfortunately, and i say this with nothing but love for CMM, they've been underachievers since that esl game a few seasons back.

at some point they need to take that next step.

Warlords are going to pick up where the Marauders left off.

I can't see them not being the class of SEAPL with the excellent ownership and GMs they have. They really are a cut above imo. Garudas are also a stellar team. Winona took a big step forward in talent this offseason also.

You are correct CR but a lot of these teams have talent as well and it seems to be the new flavor to go out and get help from the superior brains of GLB I know it helped Mekong last season and I'm sure certain teams layed down their ego's and followed suit. It will be for the betterment of SE Asia that these guys either come over or back to their roots. Having the top GM's means having the best players which leads to better competition for us. This I can guarantee you: you will not see a series of 15-1/14-2 teams lead this conference I would expect at best 13-3 and a bunch of 10-6/9-7 teams go into the 4th-8th seeds.

No offense taken by the Mountain Men. Whereas we are quite proud of making the playoffs in each of our first 3 Pro seasons, we do acknowledge that we haven't done a damn thing in the playoffs. If we are lucky enough to get there again this season, perhaps we can dump that "underachievers" label.

Also - I wouldn't sleep on the Warlords or PDP either - they could be VERY good. These guys miss the first tier by just a hair imo. But the gap is narrow and easily closed.

I'm wasn't familiar with Fishdan's stuff, but had a look in the AAA forums and found some. Very good read. Hopefully we can get Jmarter, HurricaneBear, PRJ, Sirallen, Texan and all the others (even Mad Cow's was good! )who like to contribute in this manner active again this season. I vastly prefer these kinds of posts to the bickering and trash talk, and I suspect many others here do too.

I kept trying to motivate myself last season to get back involved in this forum, but every time I came back and looked around it reminded me too much of the freshman Algebra class I teach. I get enough of that kind of "entertainment" at work. Perhaps next season will be better. Sophomores always seem to be a lot more mature than freshman.

Good read flounder and thanks for the support.

Hopefully Bacolod improves on 3-13 with some new teams up here and winning some of the closer games that we couldn't last season, but we again have some low chemistry, tough job trying to replace half the team from 2 agents with great players walking away from GLB.

Hopefully 2 seasons of recruiting can get us back on track once our chemistry recovers, but we did recruit younger than the league average it seems, so I would expect to see our improvement over the last half of this season and carrying on into season 13.
