I am about to roll a CB. I know that speed and agility are the most important for this position so while rolling I will obviously go for high scores in these skills.

After reading a bit I see that it is best to raise speed to 68 first, and then agility next, probably followed by vision. That being said, while working on speed, should I train agility? Or train something like vision and maybe jumping or catching?

Train speed/agility until you can cap speed to 48. Then change over to training agility/vision while you raise speed to 68,

+1. probably the best way to do it. and after you get speed to 68, switch training to vision/jumping and spend SPs in agility to 68. and then when agility gets capped, switch training to jumping/strength, or jumping/catching while you pour SPs into vision to 68.

Ok the only thing is that I thought it was best to not train something you are putting SP's into...since you don't get the same training bonus when the skill is a higher rank. Either way, thanks for the advice, its much appreciated.

what they mean is to train speed/agility and hold your points until you have enough points saved and trained speed high enough so that you can dump your points into it and hit the first softcap. which should be around lvl 3 or 4 if I recall.

yup, pretty much... and you can actually cap speed at lvl 2 if you get a good roll on day 31. but i'll try to outline it a little better for you:

train speed/agility and hold on to SPs
when speed+SPs=48, pour SPs into speed
switch training to agility/vision while putting SPs in speed.
when speed hits 68, switch training to vision/jumping
pour SPs into agility while training vision/jumping
when agility hits 68, switch training to jumping/catching, or jumping strength
pour SPs into vision while training jumping/catching or jumping/strength
when vision hits 68, switch training to something else (maybe something for STs at this point, like stamina)
pour SPs into jumping to 60.... blah blah blah, you should get the idea now.
