Back when I was your age, leagues didn't have numbers on them, we just had to make due with what we had. *shakes his cane at the youngins*

IMO, the "Legacy Teams" in general were at a disadvantage. They started at the top. Maintaining is much more difficult than achieving. The lower league teams always had a target to shoot for, accomplishments that could be measured each season. I think the game was more fun for the lower leagued guys at the beginning.
in the early seasons USA AAA#2 was pretty awesome actually. I wanted to get my team from A5 to AAA2 as quickly as possible.

In the early seasons there was very little difference in most of the top USA leagues.
CCC/A#1 was one of the top leagues as well. My point was it was more enjoyable and sustainable for teams from the BBBs and As etc to take on the task of getting to USA than it was for teams that started in AAA or Pro. Because really it was a chore to maintain and harder to excel with less reward actually.

Probably not true. Had the Slashers stuck around, we'd probably still be in AAA.

Have not looked, how many others worked their way here from the bottom and remain trophy-less?
Even if it's by attrition it counts

Kampers always choke in Conference Championship games.
We have a Silver trophy from A5 and that's it unfortunately, but we've lost more CC games than I want to remember. We've also lost to a lot of good teams in the 1st round of the playoffs over the years (past 2 are HHW and Lincoln), but to be honest I've always felt guilty as an owner about how we seem to come up short in the playoffs when we're expecting to win and no one else gave us a chance.
But I'd always rather be us than the Mighthawks with however many million trophies they have. Even back in Season 4 though I always thought that the two best and last remaining teams to pass through USA A5 would be us and the Mighthawks.
We are also allergic to clinching the #1 seed, and always find a way to choke instead, which I'm not proud of either.
