Catchign and vision for a reciving TE strength or blocking for a blockign TE.Speed/Agility shoudl be left alone until after these are both brought up

I have 2 TEs. I'm doing exactly this. I am pitting my early equipment in speed though. I'll replace that as time goes on.

Yeah, it makes you good for the 12 first levels and then you pay for it from level 25 to 60....

Why's that? I'm new to TE building, so I need info
I'm doing catching+vision for now.

Capping speed early is silly because you get minute level gains in it. In general you can first or second cap catching and vision ASAP and never touch them again.

Why would you replace speed gear?

I've got both of my (serious) TEs triple-capped by level 32, with all equipment in speed. I'm guessing that as I go forward I'll continue to apply all equipment to speed and 4th cap speed after I'm done raising a few other attributes. Whether that will be enough is something I'm still not sure of.
I do know that I'm happy I didn't spend any SPs on speed until I was satisfied with catching and vision--auto-level gains are really important for long-term building.
