Look at some good teams in your level range or slightly higher. (What works in AAA/Pro won't necessarily work in a 34 cap league)

Study the games, and emulate their success.

I was asking if anyone that is a DC has a good custom D play they want to share...

Not likely to happen if they don't know you that well.

You may as well just look for a DC. Not many good DCs are just going to hand over their plays to someone they don't know.
