Those ratings are grossly inaccurate - to the point where I don't think they tell you much of anything to be honest.

Woodridge is clearly superior to Berlin - as are several other Alpha teams based on a quick glance. We're just looking for a respectable finish in our intial effort in the pros.

I guess the Blitzkrieg are a very humble bunch, even though the number of shutouts they had against a powerful AAA#1 league was pretty phenomenal.

These guys like to talk like they're nothing, and then surprise people by shutting them out 80-0.

AAA #1 Alpha is a lot of things, but powerful isn't one of them. I avoided the whole conference debate last season, but it should be pretty obvious to anyone who digs into it at all that Zeta had a much higher number of very talented teams. Berlin loses a lot more than 1 game in Zeta.

I would say that only one team we played last year was surprised to be beaten 80-0 (46-0, actually). The rest knew what was coming. More than one benched/rested their starters, which I wasn't happy about for a variety of reasons.

We don't think we're nothing, we just know we're nowhere near the level of some of these teams with obsessively devoted owners, GMs, players, etc. We have a great group of mature, friendly guys and we enjoy playing this game together. Our forums have more "best movie I've seen this year" threads than "Berlin rules" threads or "defensive tactics against [insert team name]" threads.

i suggest having more "defensive tactics against [team] threads, because you just moved into the most competitive league in GLB. most of your opponents are vicious and have probably already studied your roster inside and out.

Meh. We are what we are. We're not going to change how we do things just because the scenery has changed.

I'm looking forward to a matchup with Houston next season.. I want the opportunity to

attempt to shut down Blake and Corey in the passing game and I'm pissed that you

snagged one of my Wide Receiver prospects in Free Agency .. The Stampede Scoregasm

defensive battle is always interesting.. it comes down execution and limiting mistakes

b/c they're playmakers all over the field on each D.. and when schedules are released i

hope on week 16 to see either E-City or Aggieland to wrap up the season..

There's a lot of strong teams in alpha, particularly this season. However, I'd say I'm looking forward to the Fightin' Texas Aggies game the most as they play a lot of the same style football that we do.
