He was originally built to fill a spot on a pee-wee team, and I have been trying to recover his build since....wonder if I am just better starting over using Octowned's slow build guide. Just want a pure blocking FB for now....

I would say yes. You can do a lot better if you built him for long term.

Your posting in a thread that is almost 2 weeks old. The OP opened his build. Got input. Then retired the player. It is pretty straight forward.
