First thing I took catching to the first cap.
Then I took Vision to the first cap.
Then I took Strength to the first cap.
Here is my predicament. I want to take speed straight to 68 right now. Then soft cap agility, soft cap carrying, then soft cap confidence. From there I would evaluate what I would need to do. Either add more to agility or carrying or start on the SA's/ All equipment is in speed currently. Here's his build in case that helps. Not really concerned with rating the build, just my plan

Strength: 49
Speed: 33.37
Agility: 18.37
Jumping: 10
Stamina: 12.37
Vision: 52
Confidence: 12.37

Football Skills
Blocking: 25
Catching: 54
Tackling: 12.37
Throwing: 8
Carrying: 12.37
Kicking: 9
Punting: 9

Special Abilities
Blocking Abilities
Run Block: 0
Pass Block: 0
Hands: 0
Get Low: 0
Pancake: 0

Receiving Abilities
Route Running: 1
Sticky Hands: 1
Quick Cut: 1
Cover Up: 1
Lower the Shoulder: 1

i was going to do what you're doing (before i decided i need the flex for other spots).

except:

I 3rd capped catching 1st, then vision 1st cap, then was gonna do strength 1st cap.

after that, i wouldn't necessarily 3rd cap speed unless you want a speedy dude. I was gonna build a possession TE instead of the speedy guys de jure on here to see if it would work.

Something like 75 speed, 75-80 agility, 85 catch, 60 vision, 55+ strength, 55+ carry, 50+ confidence, 50 stamina, with some amount of jumping i hadn't decided on.

edit: but either way i'd definitely at least 2nd cap catch as it'll bring you to 70+ naturally fairly soon.

2nd capping catching is fine if you do it first. Level gains will take it into the 70s from there. I double capped Catching then vision for my TE right out of the gate and he is currently sitting at 73 catching and 68 vision at level 33. I just recently triple capped speed and am looking to 2nd cap agility after boosting next season.

Also triple capped speed isn't "speedy".

triple capping catching is a mistake, and any TE that wants to catch the ball needs speed triple capped

correction.....any TE that wants to GET OPEN should triple cap speed. Since when does speed help you catch the ball?

I disagree totally. Speed doesnt mean much for a TE at all. Sure you want it up there..but so does just about every other player in the game but its like 4th on the list for a receiving TE imo.

I have a few of them (my fav position in football)

Catching is far and away first...then either vis or agi...THEN speed at 4th.

well as a guy who knows his LB's, I can tell you that LOLB's have around 100 speed. There are ways to get open without matching that 100 speed but still, you need to take in consideration who is defending you, and if your not anywhere close to those LOLB's you can expect to not only get open, but a lot of knocked loose deflections as well. Take my advice for what you value it, I'm just saying
