Ok, so I am confused about this piece. I have found two decent AEQ pieces for my LB, who is being built to be a fumble forcer. Despite now having 7 in monster hit, I am yet to see ANY record of 'monster hits' in the play by play. Not one. Is there another governing attribute or setting that needs to be at a certain point for it to register? Just seems a little odd that I have not recorded one monster hit since investing in the pieces.

I am purely talking about the SAs...he has 7 in that. Monster hits are also recorded in the play by play and yet I am yet to perform one. Just wanting to know if it is a waste of time?!

No MH is probably the best SA for a linebakcer the reason he says to show your build is becuase it wont be effective if you build does not support it..EX: you can have 10 in the MH but if you have low tackling and low strength it will not fire or be as effective you must reach a certain point in your Attributes to support the SA's

I see, so can you perform monster hits with no SAs in it? So a combination of high MH and other tackling based attributes increase it's frequency? Final thing, would tackling style in player tactics have any bearing on it? Would he need to be going balanced or power?

How many tackles does he average per game. I would hazard that it's possible you're making a monster hit but the tackle is being broken anyway (a la Roy Williams). I do believe you can perform a monster hit with no points in the SA although that's extremely rare. And it's not a given but it is likely that power increases chance of a successful monster hit.

You also want to look at Speed and Agility when causing fumbles as the faster you're moving when you hit the guy the easier it is to cause a fumble.

It depends on your build honestly. I had a LB with 14 monster hit but his strength was only a 60 and tackling was a 55. If he isn't fast enough to get to people and hit them often then it won't do you much good. My guy was a 90 speed with equipment but only had a 60 agility so he didn't get many chances to deliver them but he did it a few times.

these are the reason i said to open your build. the best way to get them to fire isnt really down to one thing. it is the combination of factors that go into the tackle equation that give you the opportunity for it to fire.
the guy ive seen it fire most on, has one point in it from CE, but lightning fast with mid 30s strength and tackling. ive seen as ANumber1Roy suggests high strength/tackling builds where it rarely fires, and usually they lack speed and/or agility.
so in order to see if youre going to see any joy from it, it would of been easier and much quicker just to show your build.
otherwise you might as well ask "how long is a piece of string?"
