It's really not that hard to figure out. Either add more tackling, more sure tackler, more wrap up/diving tackle or maybe more strength. There really aren't any "secrets". What did you expect people to say besides str/tkl/va/sa and changing your tactics from power to balanced

This.
I can add Str/Tkl/SAs/VAs But at some point you don't have enough points for all of those while maintaining a competitive speed and agility. So my question was more about what is more important of these things to work on before getting to level 60 and being ineffective and having no time to correct it.
For instance -
--- Have people seen a benefit to making tackles at a 70 strength? It would take my player about 4 levels to get 70 strength. So that's level 59. Ellosla shed some light on the answer to that question.
--- Or is the answer a 70 tackling? - Same thing about what it would take to get there. So if I did both, it would be about level 62.
--- Then there's SAs. Wrap up tackling and diving tackles - to get to 6 in each it would take 24 skill points...or 5 levels. So now I'm at 67.
--- Then there's taking Change Direction & Superior Vision a bit higher. This would take about 4 levels worth of skill points.
Or I could work on one aspect that is most important, and continue to increase speed/agility and maybe vision...reaching possibly 115 speed by level 67.
From what I've seen, there's a definite benefit to 115-120 speed, with 9 in change direction, 9 in superior vision, etc.
So while the answer may seem obvious --- get everything up, my question was more pointed towards of all of these things, which are the most important at around level 65.

I think you are missing the point. Your safeties almost never should be on power tackling. You are typicaly the last line of defense, so why would you risk it on power tackling?
You do not need more strength and personally I feel other VAs and SAs are worth investing over sure tackler etc JUST to allow you to play on power tackling.

I think helmet crash would be better then power tackler and maybe even Brick Wall.

Balanced tackling is your best bet. You can still force plenty of fumbles on it without missing a ton.

Depends on what you want to accomplish. It's best to pick a role and build towards it, rather than try and do everything well.

Strength won't help you make a tackle. It'll limit how much you're dragged by a PB, but that's a very, very minor thing since you're not an interior defender.
I really can't offer any insight as to what you should do without seeing your build tbh.

I think you're right though --- concentrate on one aspect rather than try to do everything well. I haven't worked on jumping/catching and never intended to other than to train jumping to 40 for Ball Hawk. So I should probably stick with a coverage strong safety that knocks the ball loose to create deflections....therefore keep working on speed and maybe strength.
I'll go with balanced tackling through the playoffs and see how that works. As I questioned earlier, is it more a function of the sim and playing on power tackling, or is there something specific I can do to prepare for higher level competition. It sounds like the resounding opinion is to simply play on balanced.

That sounds good. You're build is already very solid, so you just need to make some concrete choices. If that's the route you want to go (and it's the one that clearly suits your current build the best), then you should probably look for some different AEQ, and drop Power Tackler for Ball Hawk, unless you want to maintain some FFum utility (which makes sense tbh) at the expense of going pure coverage.

My SS played on balanced all last year in APL, despite being severely underleveled. He's played on power tackling for almost every game this season in AAA.

I've read somewhere that FF% is used to calculate knocked loose rolls.
