Okay, so according to everything I'm reading it's damn near impossible to get a good AE piece for a CB. I got:
+1 Aura of Intimidation SA
Break block chance +2%
And I'm wondering thoughts on whether to run with that, even for a little while. The Break Block is worthless, of course, but do you think it's worth the Aura? If it works I'm sold but I don't know if it would work effectively for a CB (as opposed to LB or even Safety).

Any thoughts on this one, guys? They are very much appreciated...

I had a couple pieces of AURA on my DT. It didn't work then and I doubt anything has changed. And he was directly over the QB.

Its tough to see anything tangible from the MORALE series of SA's.

I have two OLBs on the same team loaded to the hilt with aura (10 and 11). I dont see a major effect in overall performance.

but on a corner.... confidence is kinda a big deal for the pass catchers.

Anybody else amused by the contradictions here?

?

There was no improvement with the AEQ. What's so tough to figure out there?

He says that he didn't see any effect.
Then says that you wouldn't be able to see one anyway.
Then he concluded that they weren't working because he didn't see an effect.

That's what you get out of what I posted? I guess not everyone is blessed with reading comprehension. Oh, well.

You folks know that there is more than one SA that affects MORALE, right? LB's have a series of SA's just for that. AURA is part of that series. The part where I said "Its tough to see anything tangible from the MORALE series of SA's." is supported in the very next post by xeef, who has 2 guys with double-digit AURA and can see no major effect.

Ask a QB what his morale was after a game when you use AURA. It doesn't work.

Aura is worthless at low levels, you need Aura to be around 10 to get anyuse out of it....
IMO

Mostly Aura helps with tackling a ball carrier (helps you and teammates) so good vs tough powerbacks or agility backs.
Had a cb with +4aura, and i got rid of it after 2 seasons.
(I also have a LB with 15 Aura, and yes I like it..)

Aura doesnt target anyone and cause a pre-snap morale lose or a lose of morale after tackling like other SAs...
It just temp lowers anyones morale that is in your vicinity for rolls occuring on that play....hence it does not show up on opponents end game morale stuff.

Hrrmmmm. Thanks for the thoughts, guys. I don't think I'm going to be able to get it up any higher than about 5 or 6 with just AE...but morale does seem to be key to drops a lot of the time by WRs...

I'll have to think about this.
