Of the "we help you catch the ball better" VAs, which - if any - have the greatest effect on PDs (i.e., not knocked loose or straight drops)?

Considering exactly what you're asking:
Awe Inspiring or Underdog
Mr Reliable
Ball Hawk

In that order

I'll have to disagree.

but... to be honest, I'm not really sure which of these would have the biggest impact on catching the ball and avoiding PD's, but I would guess this order:

sure hands
possession receiver
mr reliable
prime time player
big heart ?
awe inspiring or underdog ??

and you could even throw in clutch and come back kid and soft hands as well.

I guess that's my question -- Djinn, why do you say Mr. Reliance (2% catching) would be better at avoiding PDs than Sure Hands, or Poss. Rec.?

Poss Rec great for KLs and some short passes.

Mr. Reliable is one of the best for avoiding deflections, as a straight +catch% is the best way to fight against the normal deflection. Of course this is limited to third down attempts but usually 3rd down is the most common pass down, and most common time you will be trying to catch in traffic as well.

Sure hands is okay, but i'd rather have one shot with a huge bonus rather than a chance for two shots at making the catch.

erics list is pretty good

Everyones opinion differs of course..
