With the equipment on it's easier......He doesn't have enough AGI for that level.....At that point he needs 110 agility or so...And only 80-85 strength...Would drop the strength gear, add it to AGI....I would work speed up to 80(Yes 6 points of speed can actaully make a difference)....Also another problem is not enough shed block....SB is HUGE, HUGE for any d-linemen...That means 10 + IMO...Also I seen you started adding to clutch.....I would start adding to quick and give him even more AGI.

So...I would try to find a SB piece and dump the useless TV....Since it won't do any good, since he can't break through without shed block being 10 +

That is what would fix it...The other thing is..He may not really suck...You're a level 51 in a Pro League, where the average level now is 66 +.....Being that out leveled can mean a lot as well.

doesnt help that youre a 51 DT going against 60+ Guards

He has a shed block piece already to go with the tunnel vision piece.

I'm currently working speed up to 80 naturally so we are in agreement there. Once speed is at 80 and stamina is capped then I'll start working up shed block on top of the AEQ. When he had all agility last season he didn't do anything and was constantly pancaked with 119 agiilty and 83 strength so I don't think agility is the answer.

Didn't matter last season when he was going against equal level players.

Agility is always the answer.......Honestly that is weird though...My players arn't to far behind that level....And they have about the same build, and they hold up just fine, of course not all the teams we play are pro leveled, but even against the good competition that is pretty close to us they hold up...Honestly, agility and SB IS your answer though...Maybe take the strength to 90, and raise your agility to whatever it raises to then...If you still get pancaked, then there is something seriously wrong......Though I'm one of those people that believe that Bort DOES make size matter, and DOES set some builds up to fail no matter what......So for a 285 pound DT...He's seriously undersized, an average sized tackle is 330 +

Ok..I just went back through your games from last season..He was only pancaked 1-2 times a game, which is nothing...

I would go back to the AGI...The only thing you need now is high SB and some speed....I would look for ANOTHER SB piece though...If you can, I would get 2 pieces...That way you can have +18 SB, THEN he'll be pretty damn good.

In all fairness your 4 DTs have combined for 1 sack in 5 games this season so they aren't getting the production either.

I do agree that size does matter, I haven't quite figured out how yet because this guy seems to do quite alright

I also am a huge believer that players have hidden attributes and DTs along with WRs seem to be the biggest affected. I guess I'll retire him.

I meant in...They hold up against the run, they don't get pancaked against good teams, with 80 strength....And of course they don't get sacks yet...They're only level 30 lol..They didn't have time to get their speed/agi/strength high enough yet..And didn't get a chance to get their SA's done yet....Truth is, DT's are just one of those builds that take a lot of time to develop.

And also....DE is a LOT different from a DT....A DE IRL that is 262...Is pretty damn good..."Trent Cole, Justin Tuck, Super Mario" they're all 260-270..A DT that is that much IRL will get shoved around..

Anyways...I would just try to look for a shed block piece..If you can find another one, upgrade it and get to +18 shed block, your guy will def. produce.

And if you manage to get another piece, get +18 SB....And have that speed/strength/agility....And he STILL doesn't produce, that will pretty much confirm for me that Bort does indeed make height/weight count a LOT more then what most people would think.

With a 289 lb DT, conventional wisdom might be to concentrate on speed and agility a bit more.

I'd get speed up to 74 natural, then switch to shed blocks. Switch about 10 points of strength to agility if possible. with 90 strength, 78 speed, 110 agility, and 9ish in shed blocks, he will be relatively productive. Sure he'll get pancaked 1-2 times per game but he should get 8-10 sacks on the season too.

I don't see anything wrong with the build, and it seem like the type of stuff I've seen with my DTs.

I've had DTs where I seemingly have the much better build, but then have a teammate that looks better in PBP and the stat sheet. Likewise, my best DT seems like he should have been worse than most of his teammates, but he seems to do well despite having almost no investment in the pass rush tree (only 4 Shed Block).
