It's more about how high the attribute was trained before you dispensed. 28-35 is ideal.

This is why I regular train my first stat. Get it to 28ish ASAP so you can cap it early but get good training there too, horde the shopping tokens you'll need anyways, then start intense on two others to 28ish while you get the first one to 68. Spend your tokens at level 20+ and you're set.

agree somewhat but at the same time... natural gains can help your build a LOT. I two capped one of the main attributes early on in my LB and now it's well over the 3rd cap (working towards 4 cap) and I haven't touched it since like lvl 7 or 8.

Natural gains are great but as long as the skill is finished by the same level it makes no difference.
In other words, if I train speed to 35 before dispensing because I want maximum value I only have to use 14 SP to get it to 49 versus if I trained it only to 25 I'd have to use 24 points. Then to get from 49 to 61 is 24 SP. If I used the first method I could dispense ten immediately and have the skill at 54 by the same time level-wise. Unless your goal is getting the skill to the first cap it benefits you to hold off dispensing SP.

If you wanted to take it even further you could train the first half of every cap:
1-35, 49-55, 61-64, 68-71, so on.
The con to this of course is that you can't train other abilities in the meantime unless you plan out your intense trains to your advantage.

I really think you need speed. It's going to be hard for a coordinator to use your build consistently. You cannot cover a TE, HB, or FB out of the back field. You really need some versatility that speed gives you. It's easy to take advantage of a team that blitzes the MLB every play.

He's in a farm system, so he doesn't need to be super effective for a few seasons. I was thinking of agility to 48 first because it's a major.

agility first would be the way to go... but I hope you can get it up pretty quickly. You might as well bring tackling up to at least the 2nd or 3rd cap while training agility to 33ish though.

personally I'd focus entirely on agility. Soft cap it, then train it up to 54 or so while saving SPs. You'd be able to train vision up at the same time.
