We had a decent turnout for our first edition.

I would like to see a few more people get these in for week 8s version.

Here we go:

1. Warsaw Wrath
allenc - Big wins over good teams, the close Mongols games might not be a good sign.
Dvorak - Only one close game so far, get to beat up on a few more before a quality opponent
Jabber40 - Will spend the first half of the season pounding teams without winning records.
jbleich - They are the team to beat in the early going.
Kurt Davey - Easy schedule to start the season...will be tested later.
nthomas - Just rolling throw teams, and a close loss to Drinkin' makes them the team to beat in alpha right now

2. Buda Pests
allenc - Game vs Minsk wasn't pretty, but they are getting the job done.
Dvorak - Minsk had them on the ropes, but big ST play saved them. Sofia up next should be a great game.
Jabber40 - Beat a winless team by 14 and had to score 10 points in the last minute to avoid losing to Minsk.
jbleich - Will this be their year? Brutal 4 of the next 5 will tell...if they can make it out of that stretch 4-1, expect a top 2 seed
Kurt Davey - We'll see how good they are by the next rankings.
nthomas - Got lucky against the Ninjas, but will be tested over the next few games, which are all very tough teams.

3. Sofia Spiders
allenc - A few close wins, but a big win over the Sea Wasps could mean they are just gettign better.
Dvorak - Closer games ranks them below a few undefeated teams, but they can move up by beating Buda
Jabber40 - Has had the tougher schedule of undefeated teams. Quality win over previously undefeated Tyrrhenian(41-13)
jbleich - Close wins has them a bit lower, although one was an AI Mistake
Kurt Davey - Good win against Tyrrherian... but still not as good as the top three.
nthomas - Won a few close league games, and playing a tough friendly schedule as well.

4. Arkadak Arsenal
allenc - No L's keep them at the top, but a couple close wins over weaker teams raise questions.
Dvorak - Easy schedule to start, with a couple easy ones left before a meatier schedule.
Jabber40 - Very soft opening schedule. Has only played 1 team with a win.
jbleich - Winning pretty easily but have they faced anybody yet?
Kurt Davey - Have to rank them higher until we beat them.
nthomas - Haven't really been tested yet; will hit the tough part of their schedule mid-season.

5. Vladivostok Voodoo
allenc - Not big, but all wins keep them near the top.
Dvorak - Good wins all, but needs to face a top10 team. Minsk, Buda & Sofia up next will be a test
Jabber40 - Struggled against last 2 opponents who have 1 win between them.
jbleich - Almost 4-1 with a close one over niz
Kurt Davey - Have improved since last season... time will tell.
nthomas - Some close wins over teams lower ranked. Still have all the top teams left.

6. Tyrrhenian Sea Wasps
allenc - Only loss is to the undefeated Spiders, plenty more tests ahead.
Dvorak - Winning when it counts. COuld rattle off 6 straight without needing much luck.
Jabber40 - Will rebound with an easy schedule after a beating by Sofia.
jbleich - Big droppoff after spot 6 imo, these guys may be the top of that heap
Kurt Davey - Only loss to Sofia... Could be the best of the new teams.
nthomas - only loss to the Spiders. Defense will win games for them.

7. Minsk Ninjas
allenc - 2 losses to undefeated teams, Minsk won't lose many more, so teams better watch out.
Dvorak - 2 close losses to top teams keeps them at the top of 2-2 teams
Jabber40 - Losses to Sofia by 6 and Buda by 5 make Minsk the cream of the 2-2 crop
jbleich - Only 2 losses came to Sofia and Buda and they where close games.
Kurt Davey - played 2 undefeated teams close... probably playoff bound.
nthomas - Lost two close games, and will be a very dangerous team in the playoffs.

8. Vilnius Iron Wolves
allenc - Only 2 losses are to good teams, but the 2 wins over weaker teams weren't that impressive.
Dvorak - Should be favored in their next few games before more elite opponents
Jabber40 - Early losses to an undefeated Zeta team and the Sea Wolves will become a distant memory as they start to roll.
jbleich - Meh....couple good wins, couple losses....fighting for the last spot
Kurt Davey - A couple of good losses keeps the in the upper half.
nthomas - Good win over Dallas, and could be 6-2 very soon.

9. Vladivostok Kraken
allenc - 3 close games and a cpu win, their record keeps them in the middle of the pack, but they could start to fall.
Dvorak - TOugh loss to Tyrrhenian shows they are in a fight for the playoffs
Jabber40 - Tough loss to previously winless Alexandrovsk drops the Kraken down.
jbleich - Just because their logo looks like a vagina w/ a penis hanging out the bottom.
Kurt Davey - Don't see them as playoff material this season.
nthomas - one close win and two close losses. Still unsure where they will end up.

10. Rostov-on-Don Mavericks
allenc - After an ugly loss to the Wrath, they seem to have pulled it together, but they still have plenty to prove.
Dvorak - Whipped up the Cubes, got a couple of big games ahead if they want to make a move
Jabber40 - Time for the Mavericks to make a statement with upcoming games against the Sea Wasps and the Spiders.
jbleich - Eh....
Kurt Davey - Their name keeps them down on the list.
nthomas - Big week 1 win over LRC. Playing teams tough despite being underleveled.

11. Alexandrovsk Conquerors
allenc - Only win is a 1 point game over a questionable Kraken. They could stay near the bottom.
Dvorak - Unlike Nizhny, they just kicked it late in the 4th to beat Vladivostok
Jabber40 - Solid win over the Kraken(19-18) and a close loss to the Voodoo(35-38). Things don't get easier as they face games against the Arsenal and the Wrath.
jbleich - Beat Kraken and took C-Town to the brink.
Kurt Davey - Still waiting for this team to turn the corner.
nthomas - Two 3-point losses have hurt the Conquerors

12. Sparta Battle Chickens
allenc - Probably the toughest schedule in EE Pro so far, they should start climbing, but it will take work to go up very far.
Dvorak - I guess a tie is better than a loss?
Jabber40 - Scrappy band of misfits who have been in every game, but their next 4 opponents are a combined 12-4.
jbleich - Have actually been competitive in most games.
Kurt Davey - A lot of close losses... tough schedule ahead.
nthomas - Much better than their record. Brutal schedule to start their EEPL run.

13. The Cape Town Cubicles
allenc - A tough schedule so far and only win was vs a Zeta team. It doesn't get easier in the Pros.
Dvorak - Can turn it around quick over the next few games against bottom dwellers
Jabber40 - Close losses to top opponents, but have the bottom 3 teams up next.
jbleich - Should just be extatic they got the Wheatfield in game 1.
Kurt Davey - Doesn't look like they've improved any.
nthomas - Three losses by 10 points or less. Will turn it around soon.

14. Nizhny Novgorod Mongols
allenc - No wins, but they have the ability to turn it around.
Dvorak - Took the Wrath to the 4th qtr, but couldn't finish--seems to be their theme.
Jabber40 - Brutal schedule. Lost to the Kraken by 2 and the Wrath by 6. Could be a dangerous team come playoffs.
jbleich - Couple close losses, including taking Wrath to the brink
Kurt Davey - Almost upset the Wrath... should move up.
nthomas - All close losses against some good team. The best 0-4 team that will make a playoff run.

15. Dallas Smoke Stacks
allenc - Winnable games are in the future, but it won't be easy.
Dvorak - Scheduler did not do them any favors to this point.
Jabber40 - layed the Arsenal close(24-28) but that's about it.
jbleich - I know, I know, 0-4, and I was going to put them much higher until the Vilnius game
Kurt Davey - Better team than their record shows.
nthomas - Surprise at 0-4. Have played a hard schedule, but should have at least one win by now.

16. Warsaw Warriors
allenc - Should be "L 0-255" all the way to the end.
Dvorak - Put in terms their team understands "010101000110100001100101011110010010000001110011011101010110001101101011"
Jabber40 - CPU. 'Nuff said.
jbleich - What a shame
Kurt Davey - Sad to see.
nthomas - Sad to see the Warriors fall. Hopefully will rebuild with digital at the helm.

The dog ate my homework...er, the power went out....um traffic was terrible....

Here are my late breaking rankings...not quite in time to be included:

1. Buda Pests - Looking tough to start the year. Games against Sofia and Arkadak in next four should give us a better idea of where they are at.

2. Warsaw Wrath - Big offensive numbers this year...looking like a top team in the conference.

3. Sofia Spiders - Looking tough to start the year. Definately a playoff team after just missing last year.

4. Arkadak Arsenal - Been playing patty-cake with early schedule. With Minsk and Buda on the horizon we'll have a better picture after week eight rankings.

5. Vladivostok Voodoo - Not big, but all wins keep them near the top.

6. Minsk Ninjas - Tough schedule to start. I expect no worse than 12-4 at the end of the season.

7. Tyrrhenian Sea Wasps - Another team with a brutal home stretch...get those wins early!

8. Vilnius Iron Wolves - These guys better get some wins early...7 of their last 8 are against top teams.

9. Vladivostok Kraken - I expect to see this team battling for the 7-8 seed at the end of the season.

10. Alexandrovsk Conquerors - Playing tough (with exception of Buda game) not a team I'd want to play down the stretch.

11. Rostov-on-Don Mavericks - .500 after the first four games. Should improve as season goes on.

12. Nizhny Novgorod Mongols - Should not be 0-4...needs some tweaks to the AI to start winning games.

13. The Cape Town Cubicles - Year two...I expect we'll see a little more out of them this season.

14. Sparta Battle Chickens - Rough start to the year...solid team should begin climbing in the rankings.

15. Dallas Smoke stacks - I cannot figure this team out...all I know is that I am glad they are off of our schedule already.

16. Warsaw Warriors - I feel bad for the two human owned players on the team.
