Oh, what a glorious August afternoon of imaginary dot football! Even the most hardened skeptics had to begrudgingly agree that some stuff happened today with ramifications. I'm getting pretty sick of doing these damn preludes btw, on to the rankings:
1) Nashville Hounds - Hardcore beatdown of the Lesbians left no doubt that the Hounds are the top team in USA Pro with a quarter of the season in the books. To be fair, they're drafting behind Ketchikan much like a lazy cyclist in terms of their schedule, though.
2) Minnesota Marauders - The Marauders are searching for answers on D after giving up 27 to the lowly Aftershocks. Can they right the ship soon? They'll have to with Timpanagos and West Scranton up next.
3) Ketchikan Kamper Adventure Rentals - Goddamn we kick a lot of FGs. Dravz is second in the Offensive MVP race, Anne Richards is the top defensive player in the conference, and Money in the Bank is the top special teamer.
4) Washington Wolfpack - Statement win over Lincoln shows that these guys are not dead in the water yet.
5) Lincoln Navigators - Sure, they're 2-2, but their losses were to 2 and 4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xCbU_11hx8Y
6) Spokane Privateers - It wasn't pretty, but they knocked off Timpanogos to move to 3-1. After their bye week, they have SDD, Ketchikan, and Nashville, so we'll have a better feel for how good they are after that.
7) Northwest Mighthawks - I don't like moving these guys up four spots just for beating West Scranton, but a bunch of people lost.
8) San Diego Demolition - Keep hanging around.
9) Laredo Lesbians - Tough loss against the Hounds.
10) Dread City Diabolicals - Kept it close against SDD.
11) Timpaganos Thunder - Going with head-to-head results.
12) Chicago Hedgehogs - Hedgehogs win! Hedgehogs win!
13) New Jersey Battalion - Battalion lose! Battalion lose!
14) Carson City Cubes - I will apologize for our game, that got a little out of hand.
15) Portland Aftershocks - Probably headed back down.
16) West Scranton Invaders - zzzzzzzz

Pass the chips.
admittedly trying to fix our rep, but I call em as I see em. Last season, I knew we were underrated. This season, we are probably a little overrated. If painmaker returns, we're only the 3rd best team in conference. We get that. But I think we're at least close enough to 1 and 2, that the playoffs will come down to game planning.
