I currently have a speed rush DE at level 17 with the following primary attributes (including gear):

Str 28
Speed 86
Agi 62
Vis 13
Jump 13
Tack 32

Speed is already at the 3rd cap and agility will be there later this season. While I am capping agility I am currently training Str/Tack on intense. Right now this player is having no issues getting to the QB, I have 5 sacks and probably twice as many hurries through 3 games.

My question is which of Str/Tack/Vis should be worked on next. I have already ruled out Vision simply because I haven't trained it yet, but I am interested in a discussion of the benefits of all three to a speed rushing Right Defensive End.

Specifically I would like help answering:

By capping Tackling does the tackling radius improve enough to help turn some hurries into sacks? I am very intrigued about going this route next instead of the standard Str or vision.

Strength seems to be the safe choice, but since I am working on it third it will always lag behind the OT that I am facing so what benefits does strength add to this particular build?

What does vision really do for a DE? Does it make that big of a difference getting a jump off the snap?

Speed needs to go to the 5:1 cap as does agility. Training STR and Tackling is Correct right now.

After speed and agility are 5:1, STR is next to the 5:1 cap, then vision is next to be capped. if you want to be a sack specialist wait on tackling till later.

Tackling increases your radius, but doesn't help you get to the quarterback. It's over rated and shouldn't be worked on till way later. once STR AGI SPD and vision are where you want them then hit up tackling to cap.

STR will get you pancaked less and help you rush the quarterback, plain and simple. They need STR now. No way around it. the game has been nerfed a bit in favor of str. I think even more towards str this season for O-linemen as my D.E. with 75 str was getting pancaked 6 times a game earlier in the season. I was pretty pissed and upped his str to 90 and he still gets pancaked at least once a game. HAHA.

Vision makes a big difference. You need it. Get it. Also helps you react to plays and have a sense of what's going on.
If you are blitzing with low vision and a quarterback throws a screen you will keep going towards the quarterback. With higher vision you will chase the Rb. That's just one example.
