Without going into too much detail about scheme and all of that, has anyone put any points into David vs. Goliath? I realize that people say Ball Hawk, Zone Specialist, 3rd Down Stopper, Clutch, Long Reach and Jackhammer are the way to go. Assume strength is not at 50 for Jackhammer to be available. Is there any merit to David vs. Goliath?

For those who don't know...
Each level of D vs. G gives a 2% bonus to the success rate of tackling a player who is heavier or stronger.

My only thinking is that Long Reach only gives you a change to retry your roll. 3rd Down Stopper and Clutch only works at best 2 plays out of 4. Assuming that nearly every RB,WR and TE are stronger or heavier, is a 30% bonus to the success rate of making a tackle worth a chance?

I am not really trying to sell anyone on this, just trying to see if anyone has had any success.

I like DvG on low str LBs and safeties, coupled with high tackling, it works pretty good

If your tackling is above 60, and strength at about 50, you probably shouldn't have much problem making tackles. I guess it could help prevent missed tackles if you're playing on power tackle for fumbles though

Okay, but what if you decide to keep strength at 30 in an effort to throw another 20 SP into Tackling, Speed, Agility or Vision? Then what?

I don't know how well DvsG actually works. But, with this season shaping up to be the 'Age of the Powerback', it may be worth getting.
