My WR seems to pause for a bit after making the catch, I was wondering if this is normal or not. Seems like he needs a few seconds to start running after making a catch. Anyone have any suggestions?

All low level WR have this same problem. That and also drops. There is no way to correct it now. Just get speed and agility to 68 without equipment bonus.

Ive also read on this forum from a few people talking about how vision can help a receiver 'catch in stride' but I think part of the problem is at low levels QB's caused the WR to have to slow down because they can simply out run a throw and the QB is still a little rough as is the WR.

Yes, but vision should be worked on later in the career. Speed and agility is the first thing every receiver should work out. Doesn't matter if you want the receiver to be a speedster or possession.

At low levels, the ball isn't thrown with enough quality, and the WR doesn't have enough catching, so it tends to be bobbled a bit rather than caught cleanly...
