I've done a lot of research and have had a blast building my SS. I'm at a crossroad now on which SAs to really invest in.

Monster Hit - I love this SA and have found a piece of AEQ with the bonus. Definitely a keeper piece IMO as I use my SS in run support.

Closing Speed - Very, very interested in this SA but not 100% sure of its effectiveness. I am very attracted to this SA as part of an AEQ piece as Closing Speed is the most expensive SA for a Strong Safety.

Superior Vision - When pumped high, I believe this SA could help my SS make up for a lack of natural vision. I base this on UnderDogs retired SS. I am shying away from the SA in regards to AEQ simply because it is only second on the SA tree and its pre-req is also a fantastic SA for safeties (Change Direction).

Would definitely like to hear your thoughts. If you took the time to read this post, please post up a comment on your favorite Safety SA.

I never had closing speed or gave it much thought. I hear it's good though, but I'm not going to be able to gauge it since I never used it.

I would go for those 4 mainly.

Swat Ball could help you in pass defense if you ever find yourself not able to make a swat, when you think you should.

My main question on Closing Speed is if it helps you accelerate BOTH in chasing down a player and when going head on with him.

If it is only useful when chasing from behind, I'll have to reconsider.

However, if it helps close the gap between my SS who is 10 yards from scrimmage and the HB, then I'll give it a go.

I was under the impression, especially from the description, that it helps whenever you are going after the ball carrier, regardless of where he is.

My SS has a closing speed AE and i love it. He flys up super fast from the SS position to make tackles at the LOS or behind it all the time. I would like to get a monster hit one now too to pair up with it
