Which is more important to bring up first? I was thinking that a run stuffing LB would be better to be strong and agile and quick.

What's your opinion?

If you are referring to a Run Stuffing MLB, I would say an agility, strength, and vision. With this type of build, your DC during your developmental phase will have to understand that you will be very poor in covering anyone, and ti use the Special Chart Assignments for MLB during passing situations.

With that said, speed will not do much for you, since a smart DC using the proper depth Chart, would place your LB at the point of attack or in a position that your high vision will allow you see the ball carrier, high strength and agility to fight off blockers, and high agility to cut over to the point of attack. You will further need the strength to engage the ball carrier (especially a true power back) head on, and stop it cold. As I posted before, I know of an excellent run stuffing MLB that lacks speed, but whose high strength, tackling, and agility make him a threat to anything up thd middle.

it's too bad there's not a strength/agility combo for training MLBs.

The question is tricky...I think a better question is, "what helps more to have higher than 68, speed or strength". I haven't really tested that. I know that high strength without speed is useless...that is I know how important it is to have good (ie 68) speed, but I'm not 100% sure how valuable 68 strength is for varying amounts of speed and agility.

Well you can always choose where your equipment goes so if you are going to take both to 68 you would want to bring up strength or agility first because it is a major so that will gain you a couple points in the long run. Then you can just add more equipment to whichever you want to be the highest.

I have been wondering about this as well, it seems like our LB's were on their asses all season long. With EQ they all have 85+ speed, but none of them have str much over 70

The training system is really annoying, as there are many combo's that should be perfectly viable (ie, like the strength/speed combo that was mentioned above) and can actually happen in training. Why you can't pick all of the physical training aspects together mystifies me.

Anyone else have any other opinions. Links would be good too to other things I could have missed.

Thanks to those who have replied too.

For my 22 MLB, I capped tackling first so I wouldn't have to touch it again. Taking speed and agility to 68 after that, which I'm almost done with. Then Im taking strength to 68. If anybody is curious I'll let you know how it goes. My 54 MLB, is built more like run stuffing SS and he does fairly well, but I decided to change it up this time
