My LB has 85 STR and 60 Tackling. Yet last game he made 1 tackle and missed 4 with balanced tackling set. What gives?

Low agility/vision/confidence/jumping? They all play a tackling roll as far as I can tell. Bad game with low morale? Also that team has very rock solid HBs. You're never going to make every tackle.
As far as I can tell, playing on balanced or power tackling isn't very good at lower levels, too. It seems damn hard to force fumbles against equal opponents by then, so long as they're not a QB of the 12 carrying 12 strength 12 confidence slow build variety or something. You need a lot of stats to make consistent tackles off of wrap-up.

With your str and tck that high, you should be fine with balanced tackling, provided the ball carrier it running straight at you and you are not being blocked. You had 42 tackles with 7 missed tackles during the regular season, but flagged horrifically during the play offs with 3 tackles and 4 missed tackles during your two games. We can easily speculate you have low agility, vision, and confidence, but do not get too worried you are still developing. You should look at raising the following attributes to these natural levels:
Agility - 68
Speed - 68
Vision - 61
Confidence 48
The order and how you do this can be debated, but I know most people will agree that these levels are appropriate as a base for any LB.

STR - 85
Tackling - 61
Agility - 58

Vision - 29
Confidence - 29
Been training up Vision and Confidence. Putting points into Speed to get it higher ( Which I'll work on Agility next ).
These are equipped stats by the way. Equipment split evenly in STR and Agility. CE on STR ( Which was probably a waste ).
I honestly don't see how Vision and Confidence would hurt my Tackling that bad, but hopefully it'll improve once I get those up to softcap next.

I think that is your problem right there. High tackling means you'll be able to make an attempt from farther away, but low speed and agility are preventing you from staying with the ball carrier through contact.

And i'm sure your low confidence is playing some sort of a role with a landslide effect when you miss one tackle, then another, and another. But i would say keep training vision and confidence while you get speed and agility up because that will improve your player the most allowing him to make more plays, and sometimes shoot the gap and make tackles in the backfield/pressure on the QB.

The low vision hurts, Vision means getting to the ball carrier sooner, so you're less likely to have to roll a diving tackle, which are the tackles that are missed the most.
