why are you taking quick before pass rusher?

Why does my D.T. have 37 more sacks than both of yours combined and you dare to question me?

also I am taking Clutch before pass rusher as well.

your DT has more x factor ldo

i just want to know why you don't like pass rusher i guess...

my DT's are 80str/70spd/104agi, and 93/64/96... (both have more tackling than thor, less stamina, and less shed block). i don't think they're built poorly at all. owner playing mostly 3-4 right now, so playing time, and system wise... not great for sacks. and tons of special teams.

i looked at a couple of your sacks. not that many reverse pancaces actually. you get so many sacks (respect, btw, your guy is a true beast) because of your high agility + quick + shed block. i doubt heavyweight is a major factor of your success.

when you do reverse pancake someone it might have to do with their build.

btw, i think heavyweight is a great 1st va for dt´s and nt´s. when i say pass rusher before heavyweight i am talking about de´s.

Ah man you should see some of the shit heavyweight does on rushing plays. It's pretty good for passing plays too though.
plus I focus more on the sacks that matter. I see who he beats and if it's level 50 or higher i look over it. I didn't even know he played that guy tbh.

I remember one sack this season he beat a level 56 center and LG ran em both over for a sack on the same play. Heavyweight is great.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=611818&pbp_id=15160262 plus it took me literally 5 seconds to find this.

I tried out pass rusher for a while, but I saw no appreciable difference with and without it.

That's all that matters.

good to know. i'll probably get to SA's by the end of next season.

edit: but will still need to find a system that puts them in the right spot.

edit2: still haven't talked enough about why you don't like pass rusher

I agree with what Motiak said. I didn't think it was worth elaborating. If you think I should I guess I can.

Quick is better to get the extra 4 agility because like he said it works all the time.

Pass rusher works on 3rd and 4th. So you might get 1 or 2 4th down plays. you might get maybe ten 3rd down plays. You're looking at 12 plays a game where you can use it? Maybe a little more or less?

Now quick is active 1st and 10. 2nd and 10. 3rd and 2. What if they run? throw Pass rusher out the window if they run on third. Quick still works, and works very well at stopping the run.
You don't want to be a complete liability in the run game, even though you're trying to get sacks.

I want you to know I am not completely down on pass rusher, though

i've started to believe less and less in VAs that only activate on 3rd & 4th down for all positions (corner this is noticeable, too)

i agree... clutch?

---------

i like the theory behind going slightly less silly with agility, so you can have more strength. if you say you could get 15 strength for 10 agility (nothing exact here, just throwing out numbers that could be in the right ballpark.. DE, kinda taking numbers from here http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=2985837&page=last#25892851), what would you rather have?

+15 strength, + 15 pass rusher
(88spd, 95agi, 69str, 15 pass rusher... which is 88/95/69 on 1st/2nd/running, and 88/111/89 for those 5-10 plays, numbers include equip)
or
+10 agility, + 15 quick
(88spd, 105agi, 54str, 15 quick... which we can call 88/109/54 all the time)

if you forget the plays where pass rusher is active (or supposedly active)... in this scenario it's trading 15 strength for 15 agility. the agility guy will rush the passer more effictively on 1st/2nd... who plays the run better is probably a push, or at least hard to argue based on how the DC is using them, etc. then you have the "pass rusher" plays... where it should be a huge difference.

i wouldn't be suprised if pass rusher didn't work... because it sounds like it should be pretty noticeable (on those plays). net, i think (in theory only) that you can make a fair argument for either route.
