I was prepared to make a thread about how my SS is the model to build for, but I am too tired and it would be a lie anyways.

So here's my level 48, meant to be a coverage SS. Doesn't seem to be producing much. What should I work on? If no one says anything, I'll probably just pour SP into STR. And tell me about VA's.

I guess about a ratio of 70/30 advice/rates wanted, but you guys just go along w/ it and post what you think is best insides.

Flames and trolls welcome, but please, nothing that will make me cry. I just watched "Remember the Titans" and am feeling pretty emotional.

Doesn't have L 40 or 48 EQ yet.

#1 get lv. 40 and lv. 48 gear. I'd say, all into speed and play aggressive coverage further on (since you got the speed to make up in case you fail)

#2 +1 coverage tree by get custom gear

#3 get +2 Change Direction, +4 Super Vision and +4 Swat Ball - later on, get Sticky Hands to 2 in order to get Closing Speed to 4 (will be at 9 by fully upgraded lv. 56 AEQ).

#4 stamina is your problem; strength and tackling should be raised too. So either train intense strength+tackling and get stamina to softcap OR train intense stamina+jumping and raise strength (first) and tackling to 61.

#5 VAs Zone Specialist, Jackhammer (works wonders along with Swat Ball) and Long Reach are your friend.

On #3, are you saying get a total of those levels in the SAs, or put in SP for an additional 2, 4, 4, 2, 4?

You want it like

4-8-4-2-4 natural... so it's with custom and fully upgraded AEQ 5-9-5-3-9.

SV does a lot for quick reaction and avoiding fakes - acutally avoiding fakes seems to be only Super Vision... Change Direction reduces speed loss, especially when you're turning for the pick / adjusting to the movements of ball carriers. Swat Ball makes it very likely to deflect in case the pick-check doesn't roll in your favor; it also seems to go into the "knocked loose" equation (along with strength and Jackhammer). Sticky Hands is luxury - it's only purpose is to open up Closing Speed (quite a good boost till you're about 2 away from the ball carrier).

On my SS, I got it currently 6-7-8-1-1 (looking to upgrade Super Vision and Closing Speed next season. My FS got 7 Change Direction, 7 Swat Ball, 9 Super Vision and 9 Closing Speed (I found a Closing Speed AEQ just like you).

That build looks fantastic for a coverage SS.

For VAs, you might want to look into jackhammer and getting that to 10.

I agree with RAPB about getting the SAs to look like that. Having Closing Speed AeQ is really great. After getting the coverage tree to look like he explained, i'd consider getting the hard hitter tree to about 2 in each of them. I think the benefits from that would be better than simply putting sp in some of the capped things.

Yeah, I got lucky w/ his AEQ, right now its at +7 spd, +3 CS,

I have 18 VA points, so I'll put them into jackhammer now. Well, as soon as I find out if my DC uses the SS for zone or not.

Well, I just came to the decision that I was going to retire my QB, who's going on 2 days of unpaid salary, so with that FP, I'll be able to finish boosting Edwards, and that should allow him to have 9 Closing Speed w/ AEQ.

Then next season, should I put the boost SP into attributes or get SV up to a natural 8?

I forget what your SAs were but get SV to 8 natural and CD to 6 natural as i remember thinking that at the time

No worries. It's how he gets his jollies. He knows his SS is mediocre at best, so he has to go bashing everyone else's. After my drunken rant, I decided that the best way to deal w/ it is just to ignore him. Yes, I'll still discuss how his advice is worthless, but I won't acknowledge any of his posts.

s592256, I don't mind giving credit to a good player when I see one, but fo the ones that aren't good, should I say he's good anyway? Ok, maybe I go a little too far by saying some stuff that I say but its all fun. One opinion should sway an agent towards an opinion. Especially mine.
