I had my thinking cap on wrong with respect to relegation/promotion... firstly i was thinking that "2" teams from each "conference" move up... not true. it's 2 from each "league"... secondly, the "2" are determined by the league championship game, regardless of regular season seeding. In other words, if someone upsets Tecmo for example (keep your flapper shut aaron, i'm not suggesting that will happen).. nevermind thats not possible for aaron... lets say, if someone upsets the huskers, the huskers remain in BBB12...

like i say, i haven't really thought much about promotion/relegation until now because i never figured either would apply to the Thunder this season... but since i dont have much else to do for a couple days... i just thought its interesting that basically if 2 #8 seeds pulled some amazing upsets and met in the championship game, the 2 #8 seeds move on, while the overal 2 best teams remain...

the exact thing happened to the rivals mainboard pimps last year

but really its best the way

if we did lose it would b fun to go 16-0 again and whoop up on the bbb12 for a whole new season

yeah, i think i agree its the best way... but teams like the huskers and sconnie are probably much more prepared to move up than a #8 would be... but who knows, at this early stage maybe the competition in the "A" leagues really isn't that much of a difference than BBB.. makes a valid argument for maybe having an accelerated promotion/relegation for the first season or two to more quickly balance the competition in the leagues, huh?

By "we" I assume those on your team who actually get PT and you, right?

it does because tecmo could easily compete for a championship in AA next year also

but sconnie and bugetears could move up also and compete for a championship

Truth

Don't get me wrong I really want to go to the championship and win. But I wouldn't be too saddened if we lost in the western finals because I love this league. We have such an active forum and I love how we have predictions,RPI, and many arguments. It's a great league.

I would love to help you stay in the BBB #12 for next year. I'm not trying to say we will, but I am saying we would love to be the reason you are still here come next season.

Yeah, I honestly think for the next two seasons it should be 2 from each conference because there is a lot of talent disparity currently, and it'll take a while to iron out. Also, there are probably 5 or 6 teams that could compete (by compete I mean make the playoffs) at the next level, if not two levels ahead of us, but will have to stay behind.

For this league, that's awesome because it's a great league and most owners appreciate being here. For the sake of evening out the competition, it's not so great. Oh well, give it a couple of seasons.

I don't think they could do 2 teams from each conference. That would demote 8 teams from the league above. In my opinion that is too many. It may take 2 or 3 seasons to work itself out, but overall I don't think that is a big problem.

Hell I want to go down and RULE the D league!!!!

But then I am a Slug so what do I know ;-)


And if anyone can name the author of the quote then you are closer to being in school then I am or do not have a 2 week old and sleeping only 4 hours a night...

Go 16-0 every year if you'd like. As long as you're staying here, you're not having a successful season--for the talent you have, at least.
