Ok...It looks like he's engaged with the left guard...But the ROLB is there too..And then the tackle gets pancaked by no one...Best I can figure is my DE pancaked both of them...Thoughts on what happened ? Also, a fine example of heavyweight at work

I would think its heavyweight

I KNOW it was because of the agility + heavyweight...

My question was, what did everyone think about what happened to, the 2 defenders..Doesn't even look like the one was even touching him.

Slow it down and go frame by frame.

The DE is fully engaged with the LOT. The LG attempts (since the RO is blitzing.) to go between the RDE/LOT. He is caked AFTER the OT is caked 1st.

1st of all, your DE must be pretty strong and have heavyweight.

2nd, I don't think the LG should be running between offensive linemen and defensive ends. He is run blocking here hence the "need" to engage the ROLB.

I personally think it is a glitch and should be shown to support.

I honestly no longer believe strength has anything to do with pancakes. I have a level 50 DE who only played 9 snaps in his last game, and managed to get pancaked 4 times. Every single game he is pancaked more than any other defender, despite not playing as many downs.

Oh yeah, and he has 90 strength base, and 122 with equipment. I doubt he has played an opponent al season who has more strength than him.

Retiring after this season, and will never put a point into strength on any other player I make. Not one point.

Pump VA's into Never Give Up and get pancaked 27 times in 9 plays...That would be impressive.

I have another DE who is in a league where the average level of OT's is 10 levels higher than that guy, yet that DE has less than half the strength. It isn't a fair comparison, because that team is managed better, so I always get more than 9 snaps, but the worst game he has had was 5 pancakes in 30 plays.

60+ less strength and going up against higher leveled and probably higher strength O-Linemen, yet he is pancaked at a lower percentage every single game.

You can't base theories off different teams, with players in different leagues, or teams.

If you are losing bad the o-line gets a moral bonus which in turn causes more pancakes. If you are winning a lot you won't get pancaked as much.

But keep your str low, just let me know when you figure it out.
