Any thoughts on what should be addressed would be appreciated.

My DE looks much like that one - except much more strength. I think the problem is that you are average in all three. Not enough strength to bull rush, not enough speed or agility to run around someone yet.

Got to pick one to excel in, and then slowly get the otehrs up as you want.

my 2 cents

Lots more speed more agility. Str is overated IMO

Some may say that - and if you are purely a sack whore - then you are closer to being right.

However, a str DE is much more effective against the run, and can barrel over a DE in his way to get the sack in some cases, faster than running around a blocker. My Str DE is first on an undefeated team for sacks, first by far in hurries for the division. Pretty effective if you take a look at his stats and disruption factor.

Don't get me wrong - he is not blinding fast running around the end, but still has enough speed and agility (both at least triple capped) to do it every so often. His real effectiveness comes from pushing the blocker into the QB and having a free go at the QB.

Yup on a 1 loss team with 100+ sacks the only game I didn't get a muliple hurries or a sack is when out leveled by 20. I do really well against the run as well unless really really outlevled.

What was the big change from last season? tackling? wondering with the 14 FF and none last year and they say tackling is the biggest component of FF.

over 100 sacks is incredible...
He does not get manhandled though by the Tackle? Doesn't get pancaked?

I have seen the other DE's on my own team get pushed out of the way creating a hole.

If not - then I ahve to agree with kenkaff that agility and speed are more effective regardless of the play...

I added a little STR and Tackling. And change tackling styles. I also notice qb fumble alot more.

I have to say that i dont like my STr DE. He is 100+ str and is getting shits n' giggles worth of sacks/hurries. Instead he is a opening lanes for LBs/DTs and giving them the stats. He is dominating his side. He's been pancaked a total of 4 times this season.

He plays LDE and is getting Double Teamed most of the time and making sure that the RDE ( http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=854122 ) gets the sacks and stuff.

Now, ive created a speed/agi DE (focus on speed) that is doing very well and his "brother" agi/speed (focus on agi) DE is doing semi well. Its clear to me that the speed/agi mix is much much better than a pure agi, str or speed build. Its about hitting the right mix of the 3. And as my De gets his stra bit higher, he is going to be a beast.

This is an odd and amusing arrangement of words. "purely a sack whore"

I do what I can...

I can only imagine Keyshawn Johnson Yelling "Let ME get the sack man, not you other jokers..."

I would like to hope most agents care more about the team winning then their player racking up the stats. I know that is not the case, but it is wishful thinking...
