Is there a certain PA or VA that can decrease the chance of being pancaked?

Simply - Str stops panckaes. That's why I feel those DE's that put all SP into speed and agility are one-dimensional. Got to have some strength to at least hold the line, because if you get pancaked - your blocker gets to make another block on say the OLB or FS/SS - thereby allowing many more yards if the rush is coming at you.

I put all of my boost points this season into str, and I have seen a dramatic decrease in the number of times my DE has been pancaked.

Sounds about right. I've been putting points into strength and training up confidence/stamina and it seems to be making a difference as the season goes on. A lot of it depends on the opposition though. I was pancaked 22 times in 40 plays in a recent scrimmage, and there's really not much you can do at this point in a career that would materially help.

I would not disagree with the Nv1sion's list, but IMHO Strength is primary attribute.
