I would like the 5 WR set to be in my playbook, but ideally I really don't want it used until the 4th quarter when I am behind.

However, as I understand the AI right now, if in the second quarter on my 2nd and long plays I want a 20% chance to select pass/long without being more specific, it will look over my entire playbook to make this selection including my 5 WR set packages. Its too big of a pain to list out 20+ plays assigning them each a 1% chance on the AI, and would be much easier if I could put together custom playbooks and attach them to each situation I have defined.

Right now I don't see how I can do this. Am I missing something? Is there a way to accomplish what I want, ie. exclude plays from the random rotation except when certain criteria are met?

Thanks for helping out an new OC.

I guess as an alternative to listing a bunch of pass plays I could list out 8 or so different formations and go with the pass/long option and just exclude the 5WR set formation when putting this together. But it would be much easier if I could tailor a playbook for for 2nd and long, 3rd and medium, 1st and 10, etc. etc.

Yeah, if you want to exclude any given formation, that's your only option.

If you've got enough plays, it won't come up often enough to matter, most likely, though.

If you've got 10 plays, and 1 of them is the play you don't want to run, it's only got a 10% chance each time. Most people would just go with those odds and say screw it.
