That is the question

Should you invest in it, or are the points better suited elsewhere? To get it up to the 7-10 point range costs an awful lot...

IMO, its best to find a AEQ for it

IMO using a pass rushing DT's is the answer for NT, better production.

It's also not that likely to find a piece of DLG. I have been shopping for an embarrassing amount of time to try and get a piece. I finally gave up when I rolled a Shed Block w/+2% Break Block piece.

I'd rough guess it that I shopped for a DLG piece 30 straight days minimum.

Do you think Strong Base is a good SA for a strength based NT?? Are there better ones out there??

Out of all the SA's for a DT, I hear the least about Strong Base & Swat Ball. Nobody ever talks about them, and out of all the builds I've looked at they are the least used. So my guess is NO.

The one most used and talked about positively is Shed Block. It works on both pass and run D. I think it's the only SA that works on both.

You should invest in it after you get your base stats up. I would suggest waiting until you are done assigning sp into strength, agility, and tackling before investing in it. The natural level gains in other attributes will be negligible by that point, and you can invest in DLG while training speed/stamina/vision/confidence.
