That is a real nice starting roll.

If your looking at building a Blocking Fullback this thread will help you out ton.

If you are building a rushing fullback, retire the player. Kidding, everyone loves a well built blocking fullback it is just harder to find a team looking for a rushing FB. Here is a thread with some more generic info about building a FB whether it be Blocking, Balance or Rushing.

Pretty much for any fullback Strength is king. So I would normal train Strength until you can soft cap it. From there you will probably want to 3 cap Strength before anything else. But read through those to forumss there is a wealth of information in there, and you will build a much better player if you take the time to read them.

Get speed to 25-30 & agility to 48 first, then work on strength and either blocking or carrying, depending on what your focus is.

You'll have a hard time finding a team if you aren't fast enough to block in front of the HB. As important as strength is for a blocking FB, it does you no good if the HB is beating you to the line of scrimmage.

Once you get speed to 48, you won't need to ever work on it again. Agility is far more important, because that gives you a faster first step. But you need to get your speed high enough early on that your FB can be useful enough to find a team out of the D-Leagues. A lvl 10 FB with 10 speed will have a much harder time finding a team than a lvl 10 FB with 20 speed.

Strength isn't as king as tbieritz makes it out to be. For a rushing FB, strength is about even with carrying in importance. For a blocking FB, strength is the most important, but it's not much ahead of agility and blocking. And vision & confidence can't be allowed to lag too far behind either.

No, no, no.

There's two fundamental routes to take when building a player. Build for "the future" or build to "win now". If you build for the future, you will suck early in your career. If you build to win now, you will suck later in your career.

If you do not cap or slow build, you will be many levels behind players that do, later in your career. The number of skill points that you'll be behind can be staggering TBPH, we're talking up to 5 points in a handful of attributes less (which can be worth as much as 1 full level of SP per point).

Training or spending points on speed early in your career will hurt your player's development. That is unless you plan to work on capping agility first, which will allow you to train speed and agility a little bit before shifting training to the second attribute to work on (even then I would probably train agility and blocking if going for a blocking build).

You will suck for a few seasons... no ifs, ands or buts about it. That is the price one pays to eventually be a top level talent though.

P.S. Strength is generally king for a FB (especially in your case, because it's your highest starting roll). What that means though, is it should probably be your highest natural attribute. Even if it's only at the same level as other major attributes, for example it's ok to have strength and carrying at the 68 cap for an offensive build. It doesn't have to be the highest attribute, but it should definitely be one of your highest ones. That goes for pretty much any type of FB build. The trap most people fall into is placing every single piece of EQ into strength... you don't generally need 100 strength to block a LB or DB.

Train strength/blocking until strength hits 25 or you have enough SP to hit the 2 per increase range (~48.5). At that point switch training to agility/blocking, meanwhile continue raising strength to the 4 per increase range (~68). Once agility hits 25+, start using SP on agility and shift training to speed/stamina. Take agility to the 4 per range (~68), before moving onto blocking. Blocking should already be above 25 at this juncture, so just dump SP into it until you hit the 4 per increase range (~68). If you can train speed and stamina to ~30 during this time, shift training to vision/confidence.

By your early-mid 30's, you should look like...

~70 strength
~70 agility
~68 blocking
~30 speed
~30 stamina

Now it's time to work on speed. Dump SP into speed until you hit the 4 per increase range (~68), this should happen in your early-mid 40's IIRC. All that is left is to round out your SAs/vision/confidence/stamina... that should give you a pretty well built blocking FB. I would put 2 pieces of EQ into strength, 1 piece into speed, 1 piece into agility and on your CE go speed/agility split (+3 in each).

By level 50 your FB should roughly look something like this...

~72 str (86 w/ EQ)
~71 agi (81 w/ EQ)
~70 blk
~68 spd (78 w/ EQ)
~49 vis
~49 sta
~49 con
3-5-3-5-1 run block tree (w/ CE)
15 outside blocker
15 great blocker
2 or 3 motivational speaker
