Warrior General Games

I give out game balls to my players when we win, which wasn't very often this season but it is a good idea to maybe create a small ESPN committee of active people who can create a thread to show highlights and pick players of the week.

Post-game interview with Oslo kicker, NoName Samson.

Interviewer: That was some game there.

NoName: Yeah. We fought hard. There was a some talk out there that we didn't have a chance, but our defense really put us in that game.

I: No touchdowns in the game, it certainly was all defense. A kicker's duel?

Nn: Well, I guess that's what it came down to. They just kicked one more than we did.

I: And the one you missed? Some might say that was the game.

Nn: Well, that would've made a tie...who knows what else happens at that point. But, you could always say 'if we would've scored more, we would've won'. That's pretty obvious. Was it the one kick that lost the game?...maybe, maybe not. But, we win as a team, we lose as a team.

I: Well, either way, you entered the playoffs as a 6 seed. You really weren't expected to put up this much of a fight in the 1st round, nevermind getting to the 2nd round.

Nn: Yeah, that's true. I think the whole team considers this season a success. We're a much better team than we were last year, and we're still growing.

I: Thanks for the time, NoName, and good luck next season.

A lot of my teams have the same issue, so we have an early 4pm and late 8pm game.

If enough people will be there it can be worth it.

I don't know how you guys hold off. I'm a "slam refresh, show score" the instant I see my player energy drop on my player screen =P

Ive been known to sit on the league home page for an hour before kick off...just in case.

But if you missed the Superbowl, and had the choice of watching the game on tape without knowing the score, or reading the box scores???

Don't worry about it, I'll just have shorteous tell me on msn, or I'll have to kill him if he holds out.

I start work at 11:00, generally my game sims around 10:30, giving me enough time to see the score and take a look at my player's effort. Maybe see if/where I screwed up...but ever since the playoffs started, the sim has been getting closer and closer to 11:00. I think Bort is trying to make me crazy. =(

The one time I watched a game live was our first game against the Wu Jacks. I am not putting myself through that again.

I'll read the damn box score.
