Hey now, come one, us Republicans are not like that. The media gives us such a bad rap it's to the point of making me puke, and Fox News is so smug of themselves it makes us all look like assholes. There's some decent Repubs out there, don't just generalize.
I was hoping that one of the decent republicans would respond to that. I know there are some out there, in fact I even work with one of them....lol
But that's not how the media portrays you.....our national scale news media should all be fired.

I don't understand this, maybe you can explain it to me, since you seem to be an authority....
Why would you not want someone more educated in politics than you to lead our country? You want a doctor who knows more about medicine than you. You want a mechanic who knows more about cars than you. You want an electrician who knows more about wiring than you. The whole point of having people specialize in a profession is that they can then be more informed and make better decisions on that topic than someone who specializes in something else.
Typically (and sometimes this is wrong, but...) when people complain about the "liberal elites" they are mindless drones who follow the talking heads on TV. Those people don't find out information and make a decision for themselves.
I (almost) don't care who you vote for, but I do care that people don't use their built in BS meters. When something comes across from one candidate/political party or another, and it just doesn't sound right....go find an independent source (www.factcheck.org comes to mind) and see if what they say holds water. Scrutinize both sides, but then make an INFORMED decision.
This problem is made worse by the fact that our current major news networks, including cables stations, are afraid of being labeled liberal (I guess, maybe there is a different problem) and don't seem to check facts on political candidates, nor do they call them on their BS. In a way it's sad that a significant part of our population gets their "news" from "The Daily Show", where the show does not feel the need to defend itself from tags like "liberal" and they therefore show retarded things both parties say/do and call them on their BS.
When people complain about the "liberal elites", they demonstrate that they are not thinking for themselves, and therefore I tend to respect those people's opinions quite a bit less than someone who finds out facts and makes a decision, regardless of whether it agrees with my choice or not.
